FILLINGS

Fillings serve to restore the form and function of a tooth mostly due to caries (cavities), tooth fracture, space between teeth and to improve esthetics. The vast majority of restorations we perform are done with composite. This is a tooth-colored restoration that has gained in popularity over the last few decades. It is made of an acrylic resin with a glass filler. The benefits include high strength, great esthetics, and minimal removal of tooth structure for placement. The drawbacks include higher cost and typically more frequent replacement. While they're are many great composites on the market, we currently use 3M products because of their exceptional esthetics, wear resistance, and strength. We pride ourselves on using the best materials with the proper techniques to achieve predictable, long-term results.
